Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about doula services and what to expect when working with us.

According to DONA International, a doula is "a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to their client before, during and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible."

Depending on who is on-call will determine who will be at your birth! Emma and Hope will both be at the prenatal visits so that you can get to know each of them.

A doula offers support for both you and your partner. Our support includes equipping your partner with techniques for comfort and informing expecting parents about their options in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Yes! As doulas, we are trained to support every kind of birth. Even if you may not need physical support, we still offer informational and emotional support and advocate for the birth you want!
